FAQ’S
Does Pika clean any reusable diaper? Can I use my own reusable diapers?
Yes! You can use your own stash. However, we don't recommend using cotton as it isn’t a strong enough fabric.
Where do I store all the dirty diapers?
All dirty diapers can be stored directly inside Pika, for up to 2 days prior to cleaning.
Does Pika also dry?
At this point Pika cleans without drying. In the future we will add drying, working on it.
What is the difference between Pika and washing machine?
The differences are endless! With a washing machine you need to clean off your diapers of any “extras” and store them somewhere before washing. Then you have a pre-wash, main wash and rinse cycle you must figure out (if you get this wrong your diapers will smell and can cause rashes for your baby).
Pika, together with our patent-pending pod, is designed to clean stools and urine, which are completely broken down and washed out. In addition, Pika is compact and is the storage place for the diapers until it is turned on at the end of the day. No need to accumulate dirty diapers around the house.
Is it possible to clean ordinary clothes in the machine?
Of course, any garment is possible, keeping in mind the limitations with cotton.
Does the machine replace the need to do a strip / bleach?
Yes. Pika disinfects the diapers frequently so no further disinfection is necessary.
How long is the diaper preserved when using Pika?
Currently testimonials from parents who have been using Pika and quality diapers for over a year and are satisfied, have not noticed any particular wear and tear. But as mentioned this area is still under investigation to get a prism of time.
At what temperature does Pika work?
The maximum temperature is 40 degrees. So both energy consumption is minimal and diaper wear is smaller.
Tablet:
Are there any natural ingredients in it?
The materials are not 100% natural, so a regulated drainage connection is currently required for the water to be treated at a sewage treatment plant and turned into gray water. We are working on improving the tablet in order to use natural ingredients that will both clean the diaper absolutely and can also be poured into the soil for fertilization, but we are not there yet.
Is it possible to use tablets in my washing machine as well?
You can try (we have already tried) but the result is unfortunately not good and we do not take responsibility for the quality of the cleaning when not using Pika. The tablets were developed in exact accordance with Pika Pure physical data and behavior.
Are the tablets suitable for hard and soft water?
Yes! The tablet has substances that make it possible to clean the diapers with any type of water so the hardness of the water has no effect.
